Jo Anne Chase

Mrs. Jo Ann Chase, 65, of Johnson City, died Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Gladys Juanita Jones Bennett. Mrs. Chase was a member of Harbor Light Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother; one sister; and one niece. She is survived by her loving husband, John L. Chase, Sr., of the home; four sons Dennis Bennett and wife Mary of Jonesborough, Billy Bennett of Johnson City, John L. Chase, Jr. and wife Toni of Carter County, and Elijah J. Chase and wife Kristy of Carter County; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two sisters Peggy Grindstaff of Johnson City and Judy Clark of Church Hill; two brothers Virgil W. Bennett, Jr. of Bluff City and Ricky Bennett of Carter County; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, Thursday, June 28, 2012, 12:30-1:30pm, at Morris Baker Funeral Home. A graveside will be held, 2pm, Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Rev. Dean Presnell officiating. If you would like to attend the graveside service, we will be leaving in precession to go to Mountain Home National Cemetery at 1:30pm, Thursday, June 28, 2012.
