Johnney Glenn Mitchell

Mr. Johnney Glenn Mitchell, 38, 104 Five Oaks Drive, Johnson City passed away Tuesday September 15, 2009 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Mitchell was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He is the son of Hobert James Mitchell, Jr. and Joyce Ann Gray Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was a Truck Drive and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors other than his mother and father include: his wife, Jo Ann Lambert Mitchell of the home; two daughters, Julie Ann Kirk of Elizabethton and Jennifer Reanue Slagel of the home; one brother, Christopher James Mitchell of Gray; one sister, Felicia Ann Mitchell of Gray; three grandchildren, Brittany Reanue Jones, Sky Anthoney Arrwood and Garrett Cross Kirk; paternal grandmother, Martha Elizabeth Mitchell; three nieces, Ashley Marie Lambert, Danielle Hazel Lucille Lambert and Destiny Michelle Mitchell; one nephew, Christopher James Mitchell, II; several aunts, uncles and cousins; many very special friends, special pets, JJ, Pepper, Dusty, Marilyn and Ringo. The funeral service for Mr. Johnney Glenn Mitchell will be conducted at 8 PM Sunday September 20, 2009 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Lou Kizer will officiate. The entombment service will be conducted at 2 PM Monday, September 21, 2009 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be: Jeff Leonard, Robbie Leonard, Ricky Birchfield, Richard Birchfield, Clay Arrwood and Ronnie Lambert. Honorary pallbearers will be: Don Mitchell, Justin Shelton and Chris Mitchell. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:30 PM Monday to go in procession. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday prior to the service and other times at the residence of his parents, 495 Rockingham Road, Gray, TN 37615.
