Sandra R. Miller

Sandra R. Miller, 70, formerly of Birmingham, Alabama, died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Appalachian Christian Village. She was a native of Ashland, Alabama, daughter of the late Willie B. and Annie Lura Dick Riddle. Sandra was of the Methodist faith. She was the first woman in the world to be a steel pipe and tubing salesperson, she worked up as a sales manager for the Marmon Keystone Steel Company. Sandra was a member of the AWMI and the Pacesetters Club. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Miller and son Kenneth Moss. Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Mike Shaw of Jonesborough; two grandsons, Austin Battle and Michael Moss both of Birmingham, AL; a sister and brother-in-law, Martha and John Justice of Nashville, TN; numerous cousins. A graveside service is not yet scheduled for Saturday, September 18, 2010 in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Hoover, AL. The family will receive friends at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 2701 Johns Hawkins Parkway, Birmingham, AL 35224 for 2 hours prior to the graveside service.
