Abigail Lee Speer

Abigail Lee Speer, 24, Johnson City passed away, Sunday, September 7, 2008 at the Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN. Abby was a native of Arkansas and had lived in Johnson City, TN for the past six years. She was a daughter of Paul Wyatt Speer, Mountain Home, Arkansas and Lisa Hemmert Speer, Jonesborough, TN. Her paternal grandfather, William D. Speer, preceded her in death. Abby was a senior at ETSU College of Business. She had been a hostess at Cracker Barrel for over five years. Abby loved being a Mom, reading a good book and dabbling in photography. Abby leaves a daughter, Jasmine Lee Speer, of the home; her longtime companion, Mark Cable and his three children, Destiny, Brittany and Zach, all of Johnson City, TN; her mother, Lisa Hemmert Speer, Jonesborough, TN; her father and stepmother, Paul and Robin Speer, Mountain Home, Arkansas; a sister, Kristen Speer, and nephew, Kaden Abasolo, Mountain Home, Arkansas; a brother, Ryan Speer and sister-in-law, Julie Speer, Atlanta, GA; two step-brothers, Zachary Bogart and Trevor Bogart, both of Mountain Home, Arkansas; maternal grandparents, Richard Lee and Billie Jean Hemmert, Jonesborough, TN; paternal grandmother, Dixie Speer, Columbia, Missouri; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. A graveside service for Abby will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday, September10, 2008 at Washington County Memory Gardens. Pastor Mike Woodward and Reverend Beth Yarborough will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ryan Speer, Zachary Bogart, Trevor Bogart, Mark Cable, Bobby Whitson and Joe Krupp. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Speer, Richard Hemmert, Dr. Robert C. Allen and Paul Richardson. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date at The Oaks Castle in Johnson City.
