Alberta Lusk

August 11, 1929 — June 6, 2008

Alberta 'Bo' Lusk,78, of Johnson City, went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 6, 2008 after a brief illness. Mrs. Lusk was a native of Elizabethton and was a daughter of the late Harry and Sarah Wilcox Hathaway. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Joe A. Lusk in 1997. Mrs. Lusk was a 1947 graduate of the Elizabethton High School where she was a Band Sponsor. She earned a degree in Nursing from ETSU and worked several years at Indian Path Hospital in Kingsport and Memorial Hospital in Johnson City. Mrs. Lusk was a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Junior Service League, a former President of Henry Johnson PTA, Auxiliary Vice-President of the Johnson City Major Little League in the late 1960s. Mrs. Lusk was a Big Sports Fan of ETSU and Clemson University. Most of all, she was a faithful servant to her Lord and a wonderful Wife, Mom and Grandmother. Survivors include: her two daughters, Leisa Lusk and Amy Lusk, both of Johnson City; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Janet Lusk of Johnson City; two grandchildren, Season Lusk and Joe Lusk, both of Johnson City; three sisters, Janey Knox, Dottie Broome and Betty Lou Day and her husband Millard, all of Elizabethton; a brother-in-law, Bob Lusk and his wife Eileen of Seattle, Washington; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Alberta 'Bo'? Lusk will be conducted at 12 Noon Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church on Knob Creek Road in Johnson City. Rev. Ben Konopa and Rev. Jim Richter will officiate. Music will be by Mrs. Sandy Smith. Interment will follow the service in the Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be Amy Lusk, Joe Lusk, Scott Lusk, Ed Behtz, Mike Cooter, Mark Cooter, Matt Cooter, and Tony Street. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dick Beeson, Dr. Paul Brown, Millard Day, Bob Grant, Dr. Agnes Krozser Hamati, Clayton Mays, David Miller, Lee Croy,Gene Skaggs, Ken Smith, and Alf Taylor. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 AM to 12 Noon Monday prior to the service. For those who prefer, memorial gifts may be sent to the Gideons International-North Camp, P.O.
