Miss Alice 'Geri' Pate, 74, formerly of 1200 Glyn Ridge Avenue, Johnson City, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday July 3, 2006 at the Appalachian Christian Village. Miss Pate was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, TN and the daughter of the late, Jessie Earl and Anna Wright Pate. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Don Pate and Cecil Pate. She was a charter member of the East Pine Grove Park United Methodist Church and a member of the Ida Saylor Circle of the church. Miss Pate was retired from the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company. Survivors include: one brother and sister in law, Bill and Wanda Pate of Johnson City; three nephews, one niece and their families. A special friend, Louise Daniels 'who was like a mother to her'. A graveside funeral service for Miss Alice 'Geri' Pate will be conducted at 11:30 AM Friday, July 7, 2006 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. Lon Tobin will officiate. Active pallbearers will be members of her church family. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker from 10 to 11 AM Friday, prior to the graveside service.
