Alice Marie Scott

Alice Marie Scott, 69 of Jonesborough, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Russell County, VA. and had lived most of her life in Washington County, Tn. She was a daughter of the late Wiley A. and Ethel Byrd Stewart. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Earl, Brady, Junior, Manuel and Jimmy and five sisters, Frances, Linda, Rita, Liza and Ruth. Mrs. Scott was a member of the Watauga Christian Church. Survivors include; her husband, Luke B. Scott of Jonesborough; three daughters, Lora Dean Flock of Clayton, NC, Tena Marie Keys and Patricia A. Scott both of Jonesborough; one son, Jeffery Scott of Jonesborough; three brothers, John Stewart, Larry Stewart and William Stewart; one sister, Brenda Hensdill; nine grandchildren, Allison Keys, Jonathan Scott, Jason Weeks, Justin Weeks, Lora Weeks, Aaron Scott, Brandon Scott, Cayden Scott and Sean Scott; four great grandchildren, Dillan Scott, Alexia Scott, Landen Weeks and Cameron Weeks. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 pm Thursday, January 26, 2012 from the Morris Baker South Chapel. Burial services will be conducted at the Monte Vista Memorial Park at 10:00 am on Friday. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 am for the cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday and other times at 2519 Park Avenue in Johnson City.
