Allen Carl Guinn

Allen Carl Guinn, 53, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. He was a native of Washington County and the son of the late Carl Guinn and Carolyn Smith Guinn. Allen was a retired maintenance employee of the Department of Water for the city of Johnson City for twenty eight years. He was a member and church guitarist of the Princeton Freewill Baptist Church. He was a talented artist and wood carver. Allen loved his family, friends and the Lord Jesus Christ. He is preceded in death by: father, Carl Guinn. Survivors include: mother, Carolyn Smith Guinn of Johnson City, TN.; wife, Lori Humphreys Guinn of Johnson City, TN.; two sons, Michael Guinn, Jason and Joni Guinn both of Johnson City, TN.; brother, Daivid and Wendy Guinn of Johnson City, TN.; two sisters, Cindy and Jimmy Blackburn of Stoney Creek, TN.; Terisa Wallin of Johnson City, TN.; special nephew, Dustin Humphreys; special niece, Jessica Smith; special pet, Spanky. Special thank you to father-in-law David Humphreys. The family of Allen Carl Guinn will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in the Morris Baker North Chapel. The funeral will follow at 7:00 with the Pastor Dallas Greg and Bobby Freeman officiating. Friends and family are asked to meet at the funeral home Thursday at 10:00 AM to go in procession to the Tri Cities Memorial Gardens Cemetery for an 11:00 AM graveside committal service.
