Mr. Andrew Jackson Ketron, age 87, passed away Sunday, Feb 23, 2014, in Lexington, TN. Mr. Ketron, a World War II Veteran and Master Mason was born and raised in Kingsport, TN. He was a Journeyman Printer and after leaving the Kingsport Press in the 1960s his work took him to California where he worked at the State Printing Plant in Sacramento for twenty-two years. After his retirement, he made Johnson City, TN his home where he was an active member of Keystone Free Will Baptist Church. When Mr. Ketron was widowed he moved to Lexington, TN to be with his son and family. Mr. Ketron was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. Ketron and survived by his son, Charles Ketron and his wife Gail; three Grandsons, Cory and his wife Sasha, Andrew, Micah and his wife Kristin; three great grandchildren, Kaiden, Brody and Brooklyn. His family says: 'We were blessed to have had him with us. Although short in time, we all have so many precious memories. He will be missed greatly but we rejoice knowing that he is with our Lord. The family of Mr. Andrew Jackson Ketron will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Keystone Free Will Baptist Church, Johnson City. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM. Pastors Terry Jones, Bill Greer and Ray Amos will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Cory, Andrew and Micah Ketron, Frank and Don Ketron, Harlan West, Earl Dykes and John Stalcup. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 1:30 PM Sunday in the East Lawn Cemetery, Kingsport, TN. Ministers, family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 1:20 PM Sunday.
