Anna Louise Davis

Anna Louise Roark Davis, 74, Unicoi, died early Saturday, May 24, 2014 at her home. She was a Johnson City native and the daughter of the late William Oliver 'W. O.'? and Ina 'Frances'? Cash Roark. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker, devoting her entire life to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a member of King Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Donald Lewis 'Sonny'? Davis; infant son, William Ernest Davis; and four brothers, R. E. Roark, William 'Bill'? Roark, James Roark, and John Roark. Survivors include: two daughters, Judy Ragan and her husband Everett, Unicoi, and Leslie Copas Turriff and her husband Robert, Loris, SC; two sons, Donald 'Donnie'? Davis, Jr. and his wife Ginger, Kingsport, and David Davis and his wife Gail, Unicoi; five sisters, Pansy 'Pat'? Hyatt, Watauga, Frances Jean Davis, Limestone Cove, Martha Hicks, Boones Creek, Sallie Lyons, Hampton, Teresa Vanover, Elizabethton; five sisters in law, Beatrice Roark, Melba Roark, Janice Roark, Frances Davis Hamm, and Opal Davis Unger; ten grandchildren, Melissa Ragan Tipton, Daniel Ragan, Danielle Davis, Donald 'Donny'? Davis III, Earlene Copas, Kevin 'Cody'? Copas, Ashley Jones, Lauren Jones, Contessa Turriff, and Stefan Turriff; eight great grandchildren, Dalaina Ragan, Connor Tipton, Liam Ragan, Jordan Garland, Tyler Tipton, Madison Dalton, Mason Dalton, and Malia Phipps; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Mrs. Anna Roark Davis will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. The funeral service will follow in the North Chapel at 8 pm Tuesday. Rev. Jerry Cornett and Rev. Jim Chatman will officiate. The committal service will be conducted at 11 am Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be selected from grandsons and nephews. Ministers, family, and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 10:15 am Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery for those services. The Davis family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Moms special caregivers: daughter in law, Gail Davis, and special friend, Becky Seeley.
