Annie Lee Blevins, 82, 0f 282 Horseshoe Bend Road, Jonesborough, died Friday, December 5, 2008 at the NHC Healthcare, Johnson City. She was a native of Johnson City, daughter of the late William Monroe and Nellie Mae Brown Beard. Annie Lee was raised in Blowing Rock, North Carolina and was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker, devoted mother and grandmother. Her hobbies included: gardening, walking and traveling, beaches and mountains were her favorites. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Blevins, Sr., and three sisters, Doris Reese, Ethel Moody and Irene Hill. Survivors include: a son, William 'Paul'? Blevins, Jr. of Jonesborough; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty L. and Charles 'Chuck'? Wright of Johnson City; two brothers, William 'Earl'? Beard and Cecil E. Beard, both of Phoenix City, Alabama; four grandchildren, Lora Groce, Rebecca Bohlander, Amy Fletcher, and Kevin Elliott; seven great grandchildren, Hannah and Natalie Groce, Kaylyn and Will Bohlander, Tyler and Courtney Fletcher and Morgan Brooke Elliott; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the Monte Vista Memorial Park, under the direction Rev. Harold McNabb. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the Salvation Army, POBox 1715, Johnson City, TN 37605.
