Arline Miller Cordell, 78, 2217 Wheeler Street, died Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Lakebridge Health Care. Mrs. Cordell was a native of Carter County and had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late Lee and Mae Winters Miller and was also preceded in death by a very special cousin and friend, Inez Lambert. Mrs. Cordell was a retired Quality Control Technician with many years of service at Baxter Pharmaceutical. She was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Cordell is survived by: her husband, Earl Cordell; two daughters, Sandi Hutchison and her husband, Roy, Irmo, SC, Kathy Baker and her husband, Leon, Piney Flats; two sons, Larry Cordell, Johnson City and Tommy Cordell, Jonesborough; one sister, Lorine Stout, Marietta, SC; three grandchildren, Eric Baker and his wife, Crystal, Piney Flats, Chris Hutchison and his wife, Laura, Charlotte, NC and Stacy Cordell, Johnson City; one great grand son, Jonathan Baker, Piney Flats and a granddaughter of the heart, Autumn Clawson, Johnson City; a very special cousin and friend, Helen Christian, Jonesborough; a former daughter-in-law and friend, Carolyn Hillman Cordell, Johnson City and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, March 7, 2006 in the North Chapel of Morris Baker Funeral Home. In accordance with Mrs. Cordell?s express wish, her cremains will be interred at Mountain Home National Cemetery. A committal service will be held at a later date. The Cordell family expresses a special thanks to family friends, Cindy Christian and Teresa Davidson for their unfailing support during Mrs. Cordell?s illness.
