Autumn Hunter Curtis has passed peacefully in the arms of her loving parents on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. She was a true blessing from above; we called her our little miracle. We were blessed with our little Angel for only four days but she touched all of us. She was born Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Niswonger Childrens Hospital in Johnson City, TN. Autumn is the daughter of Teddy and Hope Curtis of Johnson City, TN. Autumn is preceded in death by: two great grandfathers, Earl Roger Garland and Roy Thomas Stevens; three great grandmothers, Ada Curtis, Sarah Elizabeth Holder Stevens, and Sylvia Jean Richardson; and one uncle, David Adam Stevens. Surviving members are: two great grandfathers, Russell Curtis and Johnny Burchfield Richardson; one great grandmother, Christine R. Garland; grandparents, Gary Lynn Curtis and wife Brenda Sue Garland Curtis, Betty Jean Richardson, and David Lee Stevens and wife Teresa Jean Eaton Stevens; and several uncles, aunts, cousins, and many other family members that will miss her. The family of Autumn Hunter Curtis will receive friends from 10 am to 11 am Monday, February 13, 2017 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Following the visitation, family and friends will proceed to Washington County Memory Gardens for an 11:30 am graveside service. Rev. Ricky Garland will officiate. In lieu of flowers: the family members have chosen to give donations to the parents of Autumn. We would like to give a special thanks to three businesses whom has went above and beyond what we could have imagined in such a heartbreaking time. Morris- Baker Funeral Home team members for their assistance during this time, the professionalism and kindness are unmatched. The Washington County Memory Gardens has a lovely lady named Nancy whom met us with a warm smile and just give the feeling 'you will make it through this and I am here.' As well when we went to choose the flower spray for our sweet Autumn the gentleman said,' No Charge - you dont owe me anything.' Thank you Roddys Florist. The loss of our baby is so painful, and we had little funds to work with, however these three companies in Johnson City have shown compassion, understanding and kindness that we rarely see in todays world.
