Barbara Ellen Oliver

Barbara Oliver, 72, 540 Washington Ave., died Saturday, April 8, 2006 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Oliver was a native of Roan Mountain, TN and had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late Landon and Doshie Hartly McKinney and was also preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and one daughter. Mrs. Oliver was of the Christian Faith. Survivors include three daughters, Betty Whieler and her husband, Kurt, Morganton, NC, Otella Langley, Johnson City and Patsy Langley, Morganton; two sons, Eddie Owens and his wife, Susan and Fred Owens and his wife, Susie all of Morganton, NC; one brother, Roman McKinney, Johnson City; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A funeral service for Mrs. Oliver will be conducted at 8:00 PM Tuesday from the Morris Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Reverend Jerry Davis will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 1:15 PM at the funeral home and travel in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home
