Barbara Gail Sweeney

Barbara Gail Sweeney, 63, Johnson City, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Johnson City, and the daughter of the late J.B. and Betty Saults Sweeney. Barbara worked many years as a Phlebotomy Coordinator at Johnson City Medical Center. She loved animals and enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include: her husband, Randy Tolley; two daughters, Deana Dugger (Michael) and Amber Lafon (Brian); a sister, Darlene Ferguson (Mike); three grandchildren, Courtney Dugger, Jereth Dugger, and Elijah Lafon; one great-grandson, Alexander Nelson; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children?s Research at www.stjude.org/donate or the National Stroke Association at www.stroke.org/donate. The family of Barbara Sweeney will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Monday, November 26, 2018, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM, officiated by Mr. Tim Hall. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Janel Street and Michelle Johnson, as well as the nursing staff of the 4300 unit of Johnson City Medical Center, for their support and compassion during this time.
