Barbara Joann Tipton

Barbara ?Joann' Tipton, 75, of Johnson City, went to heavenly home on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Lakebridge Health Care Center. She was a native of Johnson City. She retired from Picadilly Cafeteria. Her husband Donald Tipton preceded her in death; her mother, Lillie Taylor Hale; her father, Thomas Beard and her stepfather Ulus Hale, Sr.; her son, Anthony Rhea Taylor; and her brother, Ulus Hale, Jr. She leaves to mourn a daughter and son-in-law, Lillian Renee? and Geary Coles; two grandchildren, Shalisha Stokes (Dale) and Preston Coles (Shayla); Three great grandchildren, Arissa, D.J. Stokes, and Haelyn Coles; three sisters, Darrylin Simpson (Sherman), Sharon Rogers (Roy), and Sandra Jackson; a special sister-in-law, Wilma Holland; host of nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Lakebridge Health Care Center?s doctor, nurses, and staff for all they did and their kindness. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 11:15am in the Monte Vista Memorial Park under the direction of Rev. James Reddick. Family and friends are asked to assemble at Morris-Baker to leave in procession at 11:00am. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
