February 6, 1930 to September 22, 2017 Barbara Lee Fazio, 87, of Unicoi TN, went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2017, at her home with her son, and daughter Mia. Mrs. Barbara Lee Sherretz Fazio, was born in Carbondale, IL, the daughter of the late Leonardis Sherretz, and the late Janet Frazier Sherretz. Barbara attended Cass-Tech High School in Carbondale, IL, where she enjoyed among other things, acting. She graduated from Wayne University in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated Columbia University Teacher?s College, in Manhattan, NY, where she received her Master?s Degree. Ultimately, Barbara decided to stay home with her three children, in Queens, NY, and Montclair, NJ, where she and her husband, Joseph V. Fazio, resided for 33 years, before retiring to Unicoi, TN. Barbara was survived by a son, Jon Fazio; two daughters, Carla Adrienne Green and her husband James Green, Wasilla, AK; and Elisa Mia Fazio, Unicoi, TN; a grandson, Joseph Montana Pride and his wife Sky Pride, Sunshine, AK; a granddaughter, Sara Mia Fazio-Davis, and her husband Anthony Dylan Davis, Las Vegas, NV; and Barbara?s two greatgrandchildren, Emmalise Ava Davis, and Anthony Dean Davis, Las Vegas, NV; a sister-in-law, Wilhelmina Fazio, Manhattan, NY; and a nephew, Christopher Fazio, Manhattan, NY; a niece, Elisa Francesca Fazio-Ghaly, her husband, Aziz Ghaly, their two children Peter and Jolene Ghaly, Westfield, NJ; a cousin, Lundy Sherretz of Hawaii; a cousin, Lynn Sherretz, Colorado; and her dogs, Yoda and Chewy. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Vincent Fazio, Unicoi, TN, in 2005; her brother-in-law Vincent Joseph Fazio, Manhattan, NY; a nephew, Stephen Fazio, VA; and a cousin, Dale Sherretz of Hawaii; and a longtime friend William Garitano. Barbara a Protestant, enjoyed painting, quilting, making jewelry, embroidering, and other craft hobbies. She and her husband, Joseph, enjoyed collecting and refinishing antiques throughout their 49-year marriage. Barbara also had a great passion for acting, performing in both New Jersey and Manhattan, New York. A small funeral service was held at the Morris-Baker Funeral home, Johnson City, TN, and a graveside service at the Roselawn Memory Gardens, Johnson City, TN. Barbara was laid to rest next to her loving husband, Joseph.
