Barbara Serchia

Barbara Jean Serchia, 74, Johnson City, died Monday, September 24, 2007 at St. Josephs Hospital, Syracuse, NY. Mrs. Serchia was a Niagara Falls, NY native and had lived in Johnson City since 1977. She was a daughter of the late Wilferd and Geneieve Gregor Brennan. One brother, Kevin Brennan, preceded Mrs. Serchia in death. She was an accountant and secretary and a former employee of St. Marys Catholic Church. Graduate of Bryan & Stratton Business College, Buffalo, N.Y. Mrs. Serchia was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and a long time server in the Adoration Chapel. Survivors include her husband, Paul Serchia; two sons, Michael Serchia and his wife, Lisa, Thousand Oaks, CA and Paul Serchia, Los Angeles, CA; two grandsons, Phillip and Stephen Serchia; one sister, Mary Anne Tessier and her husband, Walter, North Harwick, MA; two sisters-in-law, Lauretta Agnello, Lewiston, NY and Frances Esser, Palm Springs, CA; one brother-in-law, Frank Serchia and his wife, Gerri Anne, Youngstown, NY and several nieces and nephews. A Christian Mass of Burial will be celebrated at 8 PM Thursday, September 27, 2007 at St. Marys Catholic Church. Father Randy Stice will be the celebrant. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Friday at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 AM and travel in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phillip Serchia, Stephen Serchia, David Tessier, Ann Lundeen, Bill Booth and Jim Luneke. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Thursday at St. Marys Catholic Church
