Basil 'Bud'? Greenway Gildersleeve III, 73, 121 Alpine Village, Johnson City, died Tuesday, November 13, 2007 in the James H. Quillen Veterans Medical Center at Mountain Home. Mr. Gildersleeve was a native of Elizabethton who had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was the son of the late Basil Greenway Gildersleeve, Jr. and Louise Cutshaw Gildersleeve. He was a U.S Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was of the Presbyterian faith. Survivors include: two sisters, Ann Hickman, of Johnson City and Grace Eitreim and her husband Anthony C., of Gaithersburg, Maryland. The funeral service for Basil 'Bud'? Greenway Gildersleeve III will be conducted at 7 PM Monday, November 19, 2007 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Dr. Arnold B. Lovell will officiate. The interment at Mountain Home National Cemetery will take place at a later date. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 7 PM Monday prior to the service.
