Beatrice Arnold

February 8, 1917 — May 10, 2008

Beatrice Lewis Arnold, 91, of 2702 Windwood Drive, Johnson City, died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at her residence. She was a native of Washington County, a daughter of the late J.R. and Sally Bowman Lewis. Beatrice was a retired employee of the redraw department of Klopman Mills and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claborne Arnold in 1973, also two brothers and seven sisters. Survivors include: two sons, Charles W. Arnold and his wife Sue of Gray and Claborne Arnold, Jr. of Gray; a daughter, Mary A. Fagan of Johnson City; a sister, Callie Blackburn and her husband Millard of Johnson City; three grandchildren, Lorie Horton and her husband, Lloyd, Michael Fagan and Teresa Freeman and her husband, Steven and four great grandchildren, Kelsey, Mackenzie and Cameron Freeman and Dakota Fagan; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer special thanks to the Smoky Mountain Hospice and Aimee and Jessica Phillips. A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Monte Vista Memorial Park, under the direction of Rev. Kenneth Kyker. Pallbearers will be family and friends. All are asked to meet at the cemetery. There will be no formal visitation, friends may call at the home. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the Teen Missions International, 885 E. Hall Road, Merritt Island, Florida 32953-8443.
