Bennie "Ben" Carver

Bennie "Ben" Junior Carver, age 86 of Piney Flats, Tennessee passed away peacefully after a brief illness on August 6th. Ben was the fifth child of nine children born on September 8, 1937 to Fred and Bessie Carver in Kingsport, Tennessee. He was a lifelong resident of Piney Flats, Tennessee.

After Ben graduated high school in 1957 he joined the United States Army. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company after a dedicated career. Ben was a longtime member of River of Life Baptist Church in Piney Flats, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents he was welcomed into heaven by his loving wife of 50 years, Eula Stella Carver, sister, Judy Carver VanWetering, four brothers, James, Grady, George, and Doug Carver.

He is survived by his children, Randy (Gina) Carver, Wanda Markland; grandchildren, Justin Davis, Anthony Carver, Danny Markland, and Zachary Markland, sisters, Pauline Herndon, Margie Mullins, and Effie Berry, as well as a host of relatives and friends.

A special thank you to Tim Campbell, Ben's best friend for all his care and friendship.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was so loved and will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Donnie Humphrey officiating. Everyone is invited to meet at 1:50 pm in Monte Vista Memorial Park on Friday, August 9, 2024 for a 2:00 pm graveside service.
