Bessie Riddle Watson

Bessie Riddle Watson, 95, of Johnson City, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at her home. Bessie was born in North Carolina, the daughter of James and Carrie Harris Riddle. In addition to her parents, Bessie is preceded in death by her husband, Everett C. Watson; two brothers, Lawrence Riddle and Mack Riddle; four sisters, Berdie Harris, Ethel Price, Inis Bennett, and Ruth Gilbert; as well as one granddaughter, Cindy R. Church. She is survived by two daughters: Wanda Ricker and her husband, Tom, and Harriett Marie Bailey and her husband, Edwin. The family of Bessie Watson will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM Monday, March 5, 2018 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A graveside committal service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Erwin at 1:30 PM. Friends and family are asked to gather in the cemetery by 1:15 PM.
