Mrs. Betty Bernice Lady, age 77, of Johnson City, passed away, July 21, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Lady was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Ed Rutledge Dulaney and Mildred Louise Emige Dulaney. In addition to her parents, two brothers, Texas Dulaney and Floyd Dulaney and her daughter, Sandra K. also preceded her in death. Mrs. Lady was a homemaker. She was a member of Keystone Presbyterian Church and attended McKinley Bible Church. Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-seven years, Earl Lady; one son, David Lady; four sisters, Helen Walters, Virgie Sparks, Mary Gobble and Brenda Tester; one brother, Smokey Dulaney; granddaughter, Paisly Lady; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Betty Bernice Lady will be conducted at 8 PM Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Lenny Smith will officiate. The entombment service will be conducted at 10 AM Wednesday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requeasted to meet at the funeral home by 9:30 AM Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday prior to the service.
