Betty June Duncan, 73, of Johnson City, passed away, Friday, September 28, 2007 at her residence in Johnson City. She was a native of Yancey County, NC and a daughter of the late, Bruce Lee Fender and Jane Pate Fender. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jean Duncan, three brothers, Buster Fender, Rev. Bruce Fender and Wade Wilson, and one sister, Willena Wilson. Mrs. Duncan was of the Baptist faith. Her life was her children, Grandchildren and great Grandchildren. All who knew her loved her. She is survived by ; six daughters, Peggy and Randy Taylor of Jonesborough, Libby and Rick Dugger of Gray, Sue Carter and her special friend, Roger Vest of Johnson City, Sharon and William Boyd of Jonesborough, Rebecca Hillman of Johnson City and Wilma and Rev.Darryl Bailey of Elizabethton; eight Grandchildren, Missy, Kim, Brandi, Chad, Eric, Josh, Amanda and Ashley; Seven great Grandchildren, Mason, Hannah, Mattisun, Skylar, Eriq, Neyland and Hayley; one sister, Kathleen Edwards of Burnsville, NC; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 PM Sunday from the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Dayton Lewis will officiate. Burial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Sons in Law and Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday.
