Betty J. Daniels

Betty J. Hayes Daniels, 80, of Johnson City, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 in Holston Valley Medical Center. Betty was a Johnson City native, and the daughter of the late Crestal and Sessie Williams Hayes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Ira Daniels, Jr.; brother, Crestal Hayes, Jr.; and sister, Jean Moyer. Betty was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading her Bible and working out in her yard. She is survived by: four children, Deborah Hall, and her husband Gary, Joy Daniels, Ira 'Bo'? Daniels, and Patrick Daniels; three grandchildren, Shanna Lankford, and her husband Joseph, Brandy Daniels, and Skylar Daniels; one great grandchild, Thomas Lankford; and her friend of 70 years, Connie. The Daniels family wishes to extend a very special thank you to nephew, Robert 'Rocky'? Roark, and Bettys longtime caregivers, granddaughter Brandy Daniels and her fiancé, Aaron Cox. A committal service is scheduled for 10 am Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Robert Roark will officiate. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 9:15 am Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
