Betty Jane Bennett

Betty Jane Snyder Bennett, 72, Johnson City, passed away May 31, 2015 at her residence. Betty was a Sullivan County native, and daughter of the late Albert and Alice Reece Snyder. She graduated from Mary Hughes High School and was a homemaker for most of her life. Betty was a member of True Gospel Free Will Baptist Church. Betty loved camping, gardening and flowers. She lived for her family. In addition to her parents, one brother, Dean Snyder, preceded her in death. Survivors include: husband of 54 years, Richard Bennett; two children, Steve Bennett and his wife Tracy, of Gray, and Vickie Bennett Henegar and her husband Carl, of Fall Branch; one grandchild, Zackery Bennett, her ?sweet little man'; two siblings, Peggy Hodges and Joe Snyder; and special best friends, Mike and Debbie Blair. The family of Betty Bennett will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Richard Sheppard, Jr. and Rev. Freddie Miller officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at Morris-Baker by 1:15 PM Thursday, June 4, 2015 to go in procession to Roselawn Memory Gardens for 2:00 PM graveside services. Active pallbearers will be: Mark Hodges, Mike Blair, Jody Snyder, Robbie McGuire, Eddie Vanhoy and Danny Fair. Honorary pallbearers will be Zackery Bennett and Rondy Hodges.
