Betty Jo Debity

Betty Jo Debity, age 79, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2010 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Debity was born in Avery County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Eli London and Millie Morgan Henson. She was a member of West Main Street Christian Church and was a homemaker. She volunteered with feeding the homeless in the Tri-Cities area for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris Columbus Debity, two brothers, and six sisters. Mrs. Debity is survived by one son, Daniel Crouch; two sisters, Christine Metcalf and husband Herbert, of Boynton Beach, FL, and Jacqueline Conner and husband Ronald, of Sarasota, FL; one brother, James Henson, of Elizabethton, TN; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Thursday evening, November 4, 2010 in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Minister Jeff Dowds officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Friday morning, November 5, 2010 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery.
