Betty Shell Livingston Grindstaff

Betty Shell Livingston Grindstaff, daughter of J. Fletcher Shell and Verna Curd Shell was born on June 24, 1930, and passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024 at her home. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church for over 60 years, where she sang in the church choir and the trio. Betty also volunteered at MSHA (Ballad) for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband and love of her life, Harry Livingston, second husband, Billy Joe Grindstaff, five sisters, Mae Shell, Mary Ellen Jones, Bonnie Shell, Hazel Smith, Joan Shell, and brother, Dana Shell.

Survivors include three sons, Steve Livingston and Dwyn Miller, Luther Randy Livingston and wife Becky, Marty Joe Livingston and wife Patty, three grandchildren, Haley Livingston, Holly Livingston, Zachary Livingston and wife Audrey, and sister-in-law, Janis Livingston, special friends, Randy and (dec. Mary Lester), ladies and spouses of the Fidelis Sunday School Class of Southside, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to Southside Baptist Church, 1928 Wheeler St. Johnson City, TN, or Ann Little Cemetery Fund C/O Luther Livingston, 110 Ray Clark Rd. Elizabethton, TN.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Randy Lester and Mr. Paul Peer officiating. Friends and family are invited to meet at Mountain Home National Cemetery (Historic Side) on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 9:50 am for a 10:00 am service.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
