Betty Hubler Smith, 76, of Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, July 29, at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Jacksboro,TN and grew up in Jackesboro, Lake City and the Clinton area. She was a daughter of the late, Dewey and Selia Ann McNeeley Hill. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Victor L. Hubler and by one brother, Alvin Hill. Betty was the owner and operator of Cut N Curl Beauty Salon for 22 years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and was in the Esther Sunday School Class. Survivors include; her husband, Bill G. Smith, two children, Douglas Hubler and his wife, Rhonda of Johnson City and Vickie Price of Tupelo, MS; two step children, Susan Gibson and Tim Smith both of Gray; four grandchildren, Allison Dudding and her husband, Michael of Horn Lake, MS, Ashley Staggs and her husband, Tyler of Memphis, Tara Hubler of Johnson City and Nick Hubler with the U. S. Navy in Charleston, SC; two step grandchildren, John Gibson of Gray and Lori Gibson of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Bernette Thurman of Kingsport and Louise Hewitt and her husband Jay of Clinton, TN; three nieces and three nephews.. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday from the Central Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Murray and Rev. Estill Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Edgefield Cemetery in Piney Flats .The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 until 2:00 pm Saturday.
