Betty Ruth Moulton, 84, of Johnson City passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the NHC Healthcare in Johnson City. She was born in Kingsport, TN. and the daughter of the late James Elmer Hood and Monnie Dillow Hood. Betty started her local career in Johnson City as a sales associate and interior decorator with Walker Furniture Company. She spent thirty years of her career as a realtor. She was the owner of Blue Ridge Better Homes and Gardens for fifteen of those years. She was a member of the First Christian Church for over twenty years. Betty loved cooking, enjoyed flower gardening, interior decorating and her career as a realtor. Survivors include: loving husband of 64 years, Robert Moulton of Johnson City, TN.; two daughters, Jan McNeese (husband Jim) of Johnson City, TN. and Gail Reyes of Hixon, TN.; grandson, Galen Reyes of Hixon, TN.; brother, Jimmy Hood of Kingsport, TN.; step-mother, Betty Hood of Kingsport, TN.; nephews, Troy Hood, Gary Hood, Dennis Hood and Brandon Hood; uncle, Glay Hood; aunt, Opal Leedy. Tim Wallingford officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 by 1:15 to go in procession to the Mountain Home National Cemetery for 1:45 PM graveside committal service.
