Beulah Faye Hicks

Beulah Faye Hicks, 73, Limestone, TN, died on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Springfield, KY, and a daughter of the late Elvin and Alma Mae Mattingley Shirley. Beulah Faye was retired from nursing in the medical industry. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, her daughter, Brenda Faye Hicks, her brother, David Shirley, two sisters, Fanny Lou and Mary Rose Shirley, and a great granddaughter, Taylor Ruble preceded her in death. Survivors include: her husband, Raymond Eugene Hicks, Sr. of the home; four sons, Raymond Eugene Hicks, Jr. and his wife, Renee of South Central, Ronald Lynn Hicks of Johnson City, Hubert Elvin Hicks of Limestone, John Thomas Hicks and soon-to-be daughter-in-law Allison Jenkins of Limestone; three daughters, Linda Sue Bunton of Limestone, Julie Ann Hicks of Limestone, and Cathy Darlene Jackson and husband Robert J. of Jonesborough; brother, Wayne and wife Mary Shirley of Johnson City; sister, Ruby Washburn of Johnson City; nine grandchildren, Raven, Hunter, Ray, Jr., Levi, Brenda, Robert, Joseph, Carl and Beth; great grandchildren, Hannah, Riley, Brooklyn, Bennett, Robert, Winston, and Dillian; as well as many nieces and nephews. The Hicks family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm in the Dogwood Chapel under the direction of Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff. A committal service will be held on 1:00 pm Thursday, November 2, 2017 in the Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 12:45 pm.
