William Allen Gage, 65, of Greeneville, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Holston Manor. He was a lifelong resident of Tennessee, a son of the late Howard ?Worm' Gage and Mary Gage Martin. Bill will be missed by those who loved him. When he was younger, he enjoyed spending time at the lake, and later he became a certified deep-sea diver. Many knew Bill from the family store, Gage?s Grocery, and he was a familiar face at the I-81 Speedway, where he loved racing. He was also an avid antique collector. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Jim Gage. Survivors include his significant other and long term companion, Lula ?Pansy' Carver and her children; sister, Nancy ?Janie' Lipford, her husband Gary, and their children, Chris Lipford and Jaime Lipford; as well as Mike Lipford and Gary A. Lipford. The family of Bill Gage will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, December 7, 2018. A funeral ceremony will follow at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Ricky Lack and Doctor Vic Young. A committal service will be held afterward at 3:00 PM at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Tim Carver, Austin Carver, Andrew Carver, Mike Hale, Chris Lipford and Mike Lipford, with David Hale serving as honorary pallbearer.
