Billie Graham Kinkead Dye, 77, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Bristol, Virginia, daughter of the late William Carlyle and Maude Lucille Fouch Kinkead. Billie was a retired nurse for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Mt. Home, where she won the LPN of the year in 1993. She also was a member of the AFL-CIO. Her church membership was at the Harrison Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Marshall Garnett Dye in 2004; a daughter Frances Yvonne Dye Wilcox; a son, Stephen Alvin Dye; a brother, Earl Hall; a grandson, Jeremy Dearstone and a granddaughter, Dawn Michelle Wilcox; several nieces and nephews. Survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Marsha Garnetta and Rothie Brackins of Church Hill, Sherry Jean Arthur of Johnson City; a sister, Ann Hutton of Charlotte, NC; a brother, Allen Knox Kinkead of Arlington, VA; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Harrison Christian Church, under the direction of ministers, Paul Helphenstein and Robbie Phillips. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. A committal service will be conducted on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Monte '' Vista Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and sons-in-law, Mike Brackins, Ed Brackins, B. J. Cannon, Dayton Shepherd, Jr., Jamie Edwards and Joe Whitaker. Honorary pallbearers will be: Allen Knox Kinkead and Rothie Brackins. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home by 12:30 p.m. in order to leave in procession to the cemetery on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Harrison Christian Church, 2517 Browns Mill Road, Johnson City, TN 37604. Special thanks to: Rachael Monderer M.
