Billie L. Miller, 71, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Cornerstone Village following an extended illness. She was a native of Roan Mountain, the fourth child of the late Bill and Grace Miller. She had retired to her East Tennessee home after a career spanning for more than thirty years with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers in Washington, D. C., where she was a contract analyst. Billie had a gentle spirit, a generous heart, and her cats were her beloved companions. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her best friend for most of those thirty years, Nancy White. Survivors include: five brothers and sisters who loved her dearly, Allen Miller and his wife Inez of Piney Flats, TN, Betty Farmer and her husband Ted of Newland, NC, Janice Moze and her husband Garth of Elizabethton, TN, Mike Miller and his wife Alesia of Hampton, TN, and Kim Miller of Johnson City, TN; her extended family, Harry White of Johnson City, TN, and Cindy Elliott of Johnson City, TN; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and one great-great niece, all of whom she loved so much and thought of as her children. Billie loved the Lord with all her heart and was a member of Cherokee Church of Christ, Cherokee Road, Johnson City. The family of Billie Miller will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM. Graveside services will be held on January 12, 2018, at 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be: Bill Farmer, John Miller, Seth, Miller, Joe Miller, Gibson Miller and Jacob Slagle. Family and friends are asked to meet at Morris-Baker by 10:45 AM to go in procession to Monte Vista Memorial Park.
