Billy Dean Heaton

Mr. Billy 'Dean'? Heaton, age 78, 2609 Browns Mill Road, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Heaton was a native of Bristol, Tn. He was the son of the late C.F. Heaton and Vernia Lewis Heaton. In addition to his parents three brothers, Ray, Frank and Clay Heaton; one sister, Jewel Maupin also preceded him in death. Mr. Heaton retired from Kennametal after twenty-one years of service after retirement he worked part-time for thirteen years for the Johnson City Senior Center. He was a member of the Oakland Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include: his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Myrtle Heaton of the home; one son, Darrell Heaton of Johnson City; one daughter, Cheri Alderman and her husband John of Eagle Lake, Florida; one sister, Ruth Maupin; two grandchildren; Wendy Parshall of Elizabethton and Becca Taylor of Johnson City; one great granddaughter, Kelsey Parshall of Johnson City. The funeral service for Mr. Billy 'Dean'? Heaton will be conducted at 8 PM Sunday May 1, 2011 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Roy Yelton will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 AM Monday in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM Monday to go in procession. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday prior to the service.
