Billy G. Dugger

Billy G. Dugger, 69, 2884 South Roan Street, Johnson City died Wednesday, March 19, 2008 in the North Side Hospital. He was a native of Elk Park, North Carolina, son of the late Gurney and Dora Davis Dugger. Billy was a drywall installer and had lived most of his life in Johnson City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harley, Ray and Edward Dugger. Survivors include his wife, Jessie Dugger, a daughter, Lisa Schaffer and her husband, Keith of Quakertown, Pennsylvania; five sons and two daughters-in-law, Dean Dugger of Johnson City, Kenny and Christine Dugger of Johnson City, Toney Dugger of Johnson City and Billy and Christa Dugger of Watauga; a brother, John Jay Dugger of Elizabethton; two sister Velma Reece of North Carolina and Maybleleigh Hall of North Carolina; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a very close friend, Carol Batchelor. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 12:00 noon in the Mausoleum Chapel of the Washington County Memory Gardens, under the direction of Rev. Mike Pelham. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Morris '' Baker Funeral Home and at other times at 2412 E. Lakeview Dr. A procession will be leaving the funeral home by 11:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be: Shane Dugger, Matthew Dugger, Billy Dugger, Hack Arnett, Rick Arnett and Keith Schaffer.
