Billy Jack Harrell

Billy Jack Harrell, 63, of Johnson City died on Monday, January 1, 2017 at his residence. He was a native of Elizabethton, son of the late David Austin and Elva Lee Riddell Harrell. Billy was veteran of Viet Nam, having served three tours of duty in the U. S. Navy. After the Navy service, he worked as a surgical assistant for James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center for thirty years. Billy was member and active in music with his church, Unity Fellowship of Elizabethton. In addition to his parents, his wife, Linda Gay Crouch Harrell (2017) preceded him in death. Survivors include: a step-daughter, Sally Booher and her husband, Gary; his twin sister, Betty Arrowood of Johnson City, a niece, Angela Arrowood; a nephew, Kenny Arrowood (wife, Celeste) of Johnson City; four great nieces and nephews: Derrick, Jordan, Kameron and Kenleigh Grace. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 7, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the Oak Chapel under the direction of Pastor Greg Wagner. A committal service will be conducted on Monday, January 8, 2017 at 10:45 a.m. at the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those attending should arrive by 10:35 a. m. Memorials may be made to: Unity Fellowship, 907 Cedar Avenue, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
