Billy Lee Humphreys

Billy Lee Humphreys, age 52, 165 Youngstown Road, Flat Rock, AL, died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Erlanger Medical Center, Chattanooga, TN. Mr. Humphreys was a Cincinnati, OH native who was raised in Watauga. He had recently relocated to Flat Rock, AL. He was a son of the late John 'Jay' and Elsie Humphreys. Mr. Humphreys was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Humphreys was an U. S. Army veteran. He worked in construction. In addition to his parents, one sister, Teresa Humphreys, and one brother, Donnie Humphreys, preceded him in death. Survivors include: his wife, Laura Ann Green Humphreys, of the home; five children, Melissa Hill, Trenton, GA; Jessica Humphreys, Elizabethton; Kristy Sharp, Flat Rock, AL; Billy Humphreys, Jr., Sarasota, FL; and Nicole Humphreys, Johnson City; one brother, Jeff Humphreys, Arkansas; and five grandchildren, Hailey, J. C., Savannah, Trinity, and one on the way. Funeral services for Mr. Humphreys will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday from the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. John Perkins and Bro. George Haden, Jr. will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Edmonson, John Robinette, Clay Sharp, Michael Collier, and Pat Guinn. Following the funeral service, family and friends will proceed to Scalf cemetery for graveside services. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday at Morris-Baker.
