Billy Wilson

Billy Wilson, 82, of Johnson City, TN, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Billy was born in Lake Lure, NC and was the son of the late Lee R. and Minnie Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Johnson City. Mr. Wilson always enjoyed singing in choir. He was a member of Joy Choir at Central Baptist Church. Mr. Wilson was a simple man with a huge heart and loved the Lord, his church, and landscaping with rocks. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by four brothers: Grover, Leonard, Wade and Howard Wilson; and one sister, Betty Davis. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Charlotte Wilson, of Johnson City, TN; and one brother, Lester (Sue) Wilson, of Rutherford County, NC. The Wilson family will receive friends from 1 pm until 2 pm Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Bills Creek Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 2 pm. The committal will be in Bills Creek Baptist Church Cemetery following the service. A memorial service was also held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Central Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN.
