Birta Lucille Harshbarger

Birta Lucille Harshbarger, 95, of Jacksonville, FL, died Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at her residence. She was a daughter of the late Lula Pritchard and James Wesley Moody. She was a Greeneville, TN native who had lived in Johnson City for years prior to relocating to Florida. Mrs. Harshbarger was a former member of Central Baptist Church, Johnson City. Mrs. Harshbarger was a former proprieter of the South Roan Grill. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harshbarger was preceded in death by: her husband, Ernest Harshbarger, sister, Clara Mottern, and brother, Stewart Moody. Survivors include: three nieces, Kathy Davitt, and her husband, Jack, of Jacksonville, FL, Karen Nilsson, and her husband, Harry, of St. Augustine, FL, and Rheba Lowry, of Euclid, OH; five great nieces and nephews, Michael, Steven, Julie, Joseph, and Hunter; and numerous cousins. Services for Birta Lucille Harsbarger will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, October 1, 2011 from the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. R. Willard Warfield will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Joseph Davitt, Hunter Davitt, Harry Nilsson, Charles Pritchard, John Pritchard and Barry Pritchard. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery for those services. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, September 30, 2011 at Morris-Baker. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Hospice Foundation, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida, 32257.
