Blonda Annalee Johnson Butler, 84, of Johnson City, died Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Christian Care Center of Johnson City. Blonda was a native of Avery County, NC. She was a daughter of the late Dewey and Rosie Johnson. Blonda worked as a dietary aide for the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a member of Milligan Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Butler, Jr., three brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include three sons, Richard ?Rick' Butler and his wife Angela, Keith Butler and his wife Cathy, and Larry Butler and his wife Carol, all of Jonesborough; daughter, Linda Miller and her husband Larry, of Raleigh, NC; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. The family of Blonda Butler will receive friends from 5:30 pm to 7 pm Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in the Morris-Baker Dogwood Chapel. The funeral will follow at 7 pm Wednesday under the direction of Pastor Mark Street. A committal service is scheduled for 10 am Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Minister, family, and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery at 9:50 am Thursday for the service. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Christian Care Center for their care and compassion.
