Bobby G. Reams

Mr. Bobby G. Reams, age 81, of Johnson City, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013, in the Appalachian Christian Village. Mr. Reams was a lifelong resident of Johnson City. He was the son of the late Robert L. Reams and Anna May Murr Reams. Mr. Reams was a delivery driver for NAPA Auto Parts. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Watauga Valley Railroad Historical Society and Museum. The love of trains and the railroad was recognized and admired by his friends and family. Mr. Reams loved to volunteer and help others. He is survived by two sisters, Julia Clark and Barbara Jilton; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to the following nurses at Appalachian Christian Village, Janet Swift, Barbara Copas, and Bridget Bellars and also to friends, Gertha Laws and Basil Barker. A special thank you to the staff for the care and friendships that Mr. Reams enjoyed for the past several years at Appalachian Christian Village. The funeral service for Mr. Bobby G. Reams will be conducted at 7:30 PM Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Mike Pelham will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday in the Sunderland Cemetery, Talbott, TN. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 AM Wednesday. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 PM Tuesday prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Baptist Church, 612 Collins Drive, Johnson City TN 37604. .
