Bobby Joe Grindstaff

Bobby Joe Grindstaff, 64, of 323 Pealer Road, Watauga, died Sunday, December 25, 2005 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a son of the late Hobart and Bertha Bennett Grindstaff. He was also preceded in death by one son, Bobby J. Grindstaff Jr. Mr. Grindstaff was retired from North American Rayon Corp. He was a member of Grace of God Church on Dave Buck Road. Survivors include: his wife, Stella Grindstaff; one daughter, Tina Hickman of Johnson City; two sons, Jerry Grindstaff of Jonesborough and Jeffrey Grindstaff of Roan Mountain; two brothers, Billy Grindstaff and Kenneth Grindstaff, both of Johnson City; two sisters, Diane Barnett of Bluff City and Betty Baharestani of New York; four grandchildren, Heather, Dustin, Tiffany and Tiffany; five step-grandchildren, Corey, Jessica, Lynsay, Christi and Brittany; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service has been scheduled for 8:00 PM Wednesday in the North Chapel of Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Evangelist Mickey Neal and Pastor Doug Wagner will officiate. Burial will be held at Washington County Memory Gardens at 2:00 PM Thursday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:15 PM Thursday to proceed to the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday.
