Bobby Lynn Sexton, 77, of Johnson City, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at his residence. He was a native of Washington County, son of the late William Edward and Thelma G. Campbell Sexton.
Bobby was a retired pipe insulator.
He was a member and deacon at Douglas Chapel Union Baptist Church.
Bobby had served his country in the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, a son Gregory Lynn Sexton, a brother, Buddy Sexton preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife Betty Campbell Sexton of the home (married 54 years); two daughters and sons-in-law, Kristi and Joey Hatley, Karen and Mitch Kiser, Keith and Ashley Sexton, Michael Tate Sexton; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Sharon and Wayne Cole, Linda and Lee Armstrong, Patricia Hoss, Carolyn and Sam Campbell; eight grandchildren, Katelynn, Abbagale, Taylor, Gabby, Erin, Ben, Katie and Aleigha; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:30 pm under the direction of Pastor Wayne Cole at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble by 2:15 pm.
