Bobby Wayne Wortham

Bobby Wayne Wortham, 65, of Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Bobby was born in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a son of Billie and the late Ellis Wortham. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Betsy Wortham, and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his mother, Billie Wortham of Johnson City, TN; step daughter, Kelsey Mitchell of Johnson City, TN; brother, Roger and his wife Kathy Wortham of Burns, TN; nephew, Wesley Wortham, and niece, Amy Wortham, of Burns, TN; and several aunts and uncles. The family of Bobby Wayne Wortham will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in the Morris-Baker Oak Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm Wednesday under the direction of Mr. Randy Carrier, Minister. A committal service is scheduled for 10 am Thursday, February 18, 2016 in Washington County Memory Gardens. Mr. Randle Johnson, Minister will officiate. Pallbearers will be members of Pinecrest Christian Church. Ministers, family, and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 9:30 am Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Bobby?s caregiver of 5 years, Sandy Carrier, for the great job she?s done caring for Bobby.
