Bonita K. Roberts

Bonita Witt Roberts, 78, of Jonesborough, passed away on Monday, September, 21, 2009 at the Four Oaks Health Care Center.She was a native of Bridgeport, Alabama and a daughter of the late, Dolphis J. and Birtha Norman Witt. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Teresa Wilson Smithpeters, one Granddaughter, Chrystal Beasley and one brother, George W. Witt.Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church.Survivors include; five children, Shelia Yaffee of FL, Kathy Harris of Johnson City, Timothy Wilson of Greenville, TN, Cowan Roberts of CA and Dennis Roberts of Elizabethton; three sisters, Louise Widner of Jonesborough, Clercie Kate Wood of Johnson City and Betty Witt of AL; nine Grandchildren, Leigh,Valerie and Elizabeth Beasley, Alishia and Jack II Smithpeters, Chuckie Harris, Traci Murdock, Thomas and Anthony Roberts; several Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 pm Thursday, September 24, 2009 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. Harold McNabb will officiate. Burial services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday from the Monte Vista Memorial Park. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:45 am Friday and proceed to the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday and other times at the home of a daughter, Kathy, 1116 E. Myrtle Ave., Johnson City.
