Bonnie Loveless

July 18, 1912 — January 12, 2008

Bonnie Austin Loveless, age 95, of Appalachian Christian Village went home to be with her Savior on Saturday, January 12, 2008 after a brief illness. Mrs. Loveless was born and raised in Johnson City and was a daughter of the late Robert E. and Flora Belle Hicks Austin. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church and the Margaret McNeese Sunday School Class. Mrs. Loveless was a retired owner/operator of a grocery store. She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Leslie S. Loveless in 1966; three brothers, Claude Austin, Howard Austin, and Bill Austin; three sisters, Elizabeth Henry, Pearl Jilton, and June Harrell; and a very special nephew, Bob Henry, Sr. Bonnie will long be remembered for her 'Golden Shoes'? and will surely be wearing them while walking down the 'Gold Streets'? of Heaven. Bonnie is survived by: three nieces, Evelyn Williams and Betty Austin, both of Johnson City, and Dean Holland of Chattanooga; five nephews, Oran Austin, '?Bo'?Austin, Mickey Jilton, Bob Tom Jilton, and Billy Joe Jilton all of Johnson City, and a special 'chosen daughter'? and son-in-law, Joan and John Castle of Johnson City and one grandson Jordan Castle of Chattanooga. The funeral service for Bonnie Austin Loveless will be conducted at 3 PM Monday, January 14, 2008 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. R. Willard Warfield will officiate. The music will be by Barbara Stephenson, soloist and Ambers Wilson, pianist. Interment will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from nephews. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 2 to 3 PM Monday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to Central Baptist Church, 300 N. Roan Street, Johnson City, TN 37604
