Brenda Anne Murray, 49, 724 Austin Springs Road, died Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Ms. Murray was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. She was a daughter of the late George Wayne and Frances Ricker Murray and was also preceded in death by one brother, James 'Jim'? Murray. Ms. Murray was an employee of JC Penney. She was a lifelong member of Austin Springs United Methodist Church. Ms. Murray was a member of the Emmaus Community, the Utopia Chapter 027 Order of the Eastern Star and Past Worthy Advisor to the Rainbow Girls. Survivors include her twin sister, Linda Diane Murray, Johnson City; two brothers, Joel David Murray and his wife, Judy, Horn Lake Mississippi and Jeffrey Travis Murray and his wife Pam, Johnson City; two nieces, Traci Colvin, Maryville, TN and Stephanie 'Jodi'? Eanes and her husband, Bill, Maryville, TN and one nephew, Travis Murray and his wife Misty, Johnson City. A funeral service for Ms. Murray will be conducted at 8 pm Wednesday, July 1. 2009 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend Jerry Fleenor will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 10 am Thursday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 am and travel in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Travis Murray, Jason Hodges, Gary Hodges, Jeff Murray, Joel Murray and Bill Eanes. Associates of JC Penney and special friends will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Austin Springs United Methodist Church, 726 Austin Springs Road, Johnson City, TN 37601, Crossroads Christian Church, Gray, TN 37615 or Tri-Cities Church of God, 238 Old Jonesboro Road, Piney Flats, TN 37686.
