Brenda G. Jones Mcghee

Brenda G. Jones McGhee, 56, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 23, 2016, unexpectedly at her home. Brenda was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. She was a daughter of Dorothy Jones Woodby and the late Paul F. Jones. Brenda worked at the Johnson City Elks Lodge and Holiday Inn for several years. She attended South Johnson City Church of God. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Paul L. Woodby, and infant niece, Jackie Michelle Fields. Survivors in addition to her mother are: her husband of 17 years, Jerry McGhee; two daughters, Tammy Harless and her partner Kevin Kastle, and Kristy Reaves and her husband Keith; two step-children, Kerry Simm and her husband Andy, and Mark McGhee and his wife Heather; eight grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Jonathon, Matthew, Daniel, Gabriel, Kara, Kamryn, Skylar, and Heather; four siblings, Doug Jones and his wife Sandy, Mary Fields Flickinger and her husband Alan, Timothy Jones and his wife Jeri, and David Jones and his wife Ruby; three step-siblings, Paul F. Woodby and his wife Linda, Patsy Glover and her husband Buddy, and Pam Walker and her husband Jay; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. The family of Brenda McGhee will receive friends from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm Thursday, January 28, 2016 in Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Following the visitation, family and friends will proceed to Monte Vista Memorial Park for a 3 pm graveside service. Mrs. Leanna Morgan will officiate. Active pallbearers will be: David Jones, Dustin Jones, Brian Busler, Chad Jones, Roger Hartman, and Mark McGhee. Honorary pallbearers are Dwight Hubbard, Jonathon Harless, and Matthew Harless. The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to Dwight Hubbard and Roger Hartman for all you have done for Brenda and Jerry.
