Brenda Williams

Brenda Williams, 57, 1301 Spruce Lane, Elizabethton, died Sunday, July 13, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Williams was a native of Washington County who had lived in Elizabethton. She was the daughter of the late George W. and Flossie Michaels Feathers. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Williams in 2007; one son, Billy Light in 2005; two sisters, Thelma McInturff and Grace Cash; three brothers, Robert Feathers, Orville Feathers and Donald Feathers. She was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: one daughter, Lisa Light of Elizabethton; three sisters, Mary Sue Walters of Jonesborough, Phyllis Jean Presley of Watauga and Barbara M. Welch of Bristol; one brother, Charles David Feathers of Chuckey; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Brenda Williams will be conducted at 8 PM Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Bob Edmonds will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 PM Thursday in the Maple Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the funeral chapel at 1:15 PM Thursday to go in procession. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday prior to the service.
